CUTOUT MATERNITY DRESS | Color is peach, but it’s more of a dusty rose. Perfect for that baby bump.
I planned on making baby bump update posts my entire pregnancy, but honestly, there hasn’t been much going on. I’m just trying to keep up with my two little ones as this bump grows and grows. I haven’t been the best at keeping up with my weekly progress. I was shocked when I got the notification that I am already 28 weeks along! When I was pregnant with Jack (my first), I was constantly checking for updates, watching every video about his progress, and always looking for baby products. Now that I’m on my 3rd, I just don’t have time to do it! Sometimes I feel guilty that this little babe doesn’t get as much of my attention, but I know SHE will be so loved when she makes her appearance.
Another Baby Girl
That’s right, there is another sweet girl on the way! At first, I felt bad that Jack wouldn’t have a little brother. He loves to play and always talks about seeing his friends, but he also loves playing with Birdie. I know once this little girl is older they will all be the best of friends. I will say that I can’t wait to decorate a room for two little girls! More info on that process is coming very soon!
Friends and family are always asking us if we have a name. As much as I would love to say that we do, we do not. It always takes us such a long time to pick something. I wish I was like the other moms who know baby’s name as soon as they find out the gender.
Size: Baby is the size of an egg plant. These comparisons always crack me up. The other week was kale and Justin asked if it was a bunch of kale of just a leaf haha! Anyway, she is about 14.8 inches long and a little over 2 pounds.
Cravings: I’ve been loving ramen (there is a place in OKC that is amazing), plums, and cinnamon rolls. Luckily, we usually have a really great dinner to balance all of this out.
How I’m prepping: I haven’t been doing much baby prep because we are in a bit of a transition. We are currently renting a home, while we work out the details about building on our land. I’ll update you all as soon as we start! That being said, we don’t have space for a separate nursery in our current home, which is fine.
All of our kids stayed in this bassinet for as long as possible. If you are in the market for a bassinet, I HIGHLY recommend this one. It is so easy to get baby in and out for all those night time feedings. The side wall lowers with just your touch and the whole thing rotates. No need to unlatch something in the dark at 3:00 AM. I also love the light feature. I’m pretty sure I woke up more than my little ones did just so I could turn on the light and watch them sleep.
I have been slowly stocking up on new nursing bras and comfortable clothes for postpartum. I have a lot of bras I don’t like and a lot that are falling apart. I’m planning a separate nursing bra post, so stay tuned! I just purchased the bras below and I am in love! They are super soft and also have removable pads. I loved my other bra like this, but I couldn’t wear it in public because nipples. Haha! TMI, but that’s the truth. I also love the lace detail in the back. Yay for pretty and comfortable nursing bras.
How I’m feeling: I am very worn down by the end of the day because of the kiddos, but other than that I have been feeling good. The heartburn kicked in last week. I’ve found something that works great for me and doesn’t have colors, toxins, or talc! YES! This was big for me because I carry very high and was having to eat antacids multiple times a day with both pregnancies.
What the kids are doing: The kids are the cutest right now. Jack talks about the baby a lot! He always wants to see my belly and say good night to the baby. Birdie loves touching my belly when it is showing. We are currently working on what gentle means.
What I’m having trouble with: I am really been slacking when it comes to exercise. I’m also training to become a yoga teacher and I am way behind on taking classes. I’m trying to walk every day and do some major yoga catch up!
A big thank you to my sweet friend Emily of Emily Lindsey Photography for snapping these with my iPhone. Another thank you to my friend Tasha of Health Full Time for having us at her beautiful home for a night of fun and games.
